THIS SHOW in particular is shit. I love Lynch, but this is abysmal, there's no debate.

Twin Peaks is a competently directed and well-made show, more whimsical than anything, the weirdness is more decorative than anything else. It's palatable to normies even.

True Lynch Weirdness: Lost Highway, Eraserhead, Mullholland Drive, etc. is competently directed and arteur, dreamlike even. Unsettling and uncanny. Beautiful to look at. Coherent in the way a dream is coherent while you're having it.

I never watched Lost when it aired. Something about it turned me off - don't even know what it was anymore.
And I binge watched it later and loved it (for the most part).
