This. I didn't worry about Daniels through the whole movie. The Female Lead in an Alien movie is basically bulletproof.
There should be an Alien movie where the "Ripley" gets killed, and a man survives to kill the Alien. It's not misogynistic, it's a way to add tension, knowing that the Strong Woman is killable.
