Project X is complete shit. Pure shit. However this is a small golden nugget buried within all of that shit. It's one little 5 minute scene and to me the scene encapsulates "party life" in the 21st century as a late teen/early 20s person.

The director originally had directed music videos and it shows. The editing for the film is good stuff, and the movie itself isn't half bad. Just some kids learning about themselves, and friendship.

Actually had some pretty Kino parties desu. I was in my final year of my a levels in the UK, got on with the chads and staceys, few staceys were interested but I was too autistic to know. Decided to have a party and invite all my geek friends, sister would do the same. Bought loads of bottles, even got two kegs. Thought fuck it lets invite more people we like. Cleared the house of all the furniture and valuables, locked in the garage; friend wired up his pa system and we all got wasted. Fucked a younger Stacey, someone's car got stolen and crashed, gained a cat, and had some real fun memories.

Been to a couple as well, but they deterioated as I got older to lame drinking games, wealth and martyrdom measuring, etc etc.

I loved project x desu, it paints the ideal party, what it feels like, and what the aftermath is, and that when done right its cathartic and worth it.

All house parties I've been to are people drinking whine, gin or other drink like that (people all bring a bottle) and smoking weed on the varanda/terrace/roof while talking about life or present news.
