was it that good? i'm spoiled by the documentary World at War, that i just couldn't get through the first couple of minutes of Ken Burns' Civil War.
but there's nothing else like World at War, so i should lower my expectations i guess.

no
ken burns documentaries are basically a bunch of wikipedia anecdotes read off by some guy with a deep voice, played over old pictures that slowly increase cropping with olde tymey melancholy music playing in the background
>not out for fucking ages
got my hopes up. I doubt it'll be match the previous doco's that are already out with tons of authentic footage and interviews from all perspectives

I wish Steve would update his descriptions, he just ate a K-ration from 1942 which is now the oldest modern ration he's even eaten. This is not counting the time he ate hard tack from the Civil War

Dead on. The do have some decent historians in them but the pacing makes Better Call Saul seem like an action series. Typical drugged out on SSRIs CPB shows. If you guys have never seen pic related it's worth a watch. Not nearly as good as World at War but it has a similar style and some awesome interviews.
