Let's see how long we can go discussing a movie without calling someone else Reddit
I'll start:
I really liked Inglorious Basterds and Hanz Landa is the most likeable villain in history

Two amazing scenes in an otherwise decent movie. 8/10

i enjoyed his depth as a character as well.. he was relatable, and at the end of the day, was more of an anti hero than a villian since he helped end the war..
brad pitt was a bit much, im from tennessee and i dont understand why anyone from tennessee, or from his area specifically, would give so much of a shit about jews.. in fact, tennessee is populated a great deal by germans, as well as scots..
so overall, its interesting
I think Tropic Thunder was funny.

Checked. Im from Tennessee and when Also answers "Tennessee" when asked where he's from, the fucking packed theater started applauding.
Reality is a meme.

Yes. The opening scene and the bar scene were amazing. Tarantino knew how to create and maintain tension.
Hans Landa was a great character, but he also exposed how limited Waltz is as an actor. He's basically played the same role over and over again.

I'm from East Tennessee, ~45 mins from Maynardville, and there aren't a ton of people of German ancestry in that part of the state. The overwhelming majority are Scots-Irish. What people from East Tennessee don't like is authoritarianism, and Nazis were highly authoritarian. So I don't really find it a stretch at all that Aldo Raine would love killing Nazis. Also, a lot of German immigrants to the US were 48ers, who tended to support human rights, democratic govt, that sort of thing. So these people would have grown up listening to their grandparents or their great grandparents shitting on Old World political norms.
Fuck off Reddit

I loved him to. I disagree that he's the best villain in history though.

I like the use of MP40's in the movie. Also Shosanna Dreyfus was a cutie
