Did you only show your work to your mom and your friends before? Criticism is a part of life, esecially if those giving it are paying you for your work. Not OP, but this is the kind of thing "creative" people say to people who have jobs. Go be creative in your own creative studio. If you have a job, you need to do what you're told. Even if you're super creative. Nobody cares. Even if you're an artist in a studio, the art director will make you fit in or he'll fire you.
