Why is this twist ending so underrated? I think it's great, not something you would expect, but it makes sense and numerous hints are dropped beforehand, only unrealistic thing is that police didn't find any signs of foul play after all those huge incidents happened
i watched it after watching split so i knew beforehand that mr. glass gets locked up for some reason which made it really obvious while watching unbreakable what the twist was. still liked the movie though.

People born in 1999 are turning 18 this year. Everyone born in 1998 is 18 already. Unbreakable came out in the year 2000

Watched this with my wife last night because she had never seen it. She was able to predict a couple of things before they happened. Jackson being a villain she only picked up on when his mom is talking to Bruce Willis about the villains having big eyes.
I forgot how fucking great this movie was. M. Night's best by far. That soundtrack is god damn fantastic.

Like what? I'm curious.

I rewatched this movie about 2 weeks ago after watching Split. I'd seen it 2-3 times when I was younger as I was 12 when it came out but never really appreciated it's genius until now.
It's literally become one of my favourite movies, I suppose I connected with it because I just empathised with David Dunn's search for meaning in his life.
You're so right about the soundtrack, when "The Orange Man" plays at the climax of the movie, is when David discovers his purpose - despite multiple viewings it's one of the most powerful scenes I've ever witnessed.
Shamalan gets a lot of shit but this movie deserves more love. Criminally underrated.
I enjoyed Split too and am eager to see what Night comes up with in the sequel. Let's hope he doesn't shit the bed.

The David quitting football to be with his wife/faking the accident was the one I wasn't expecting her to see so quick.
