Walter can Auto heal wounds.

Walter is in the med bay trying to fix his wounds. (This doesn't seem off to the crew)

I don't expect much more from 80 year old Ridley Scott who has lost the youthful luster of original and thoughtful sci-fi. He made Alien nearly 40 years ago, in his creative prime, with the help of other brilliant artists and visionaries in their prime. The shit I just watched is a shell of its former idea, desperately trying to capture the brilliance and magic of its original predecessor.

Like a FTL capable fully automated mothership that uses a human voice of a loud speaker to command Walter to carry out mundane, routine functions that require the pressing of buttons or the sleep pods that fail to wake and automatically half incinerate the inhabitant while the others watch through the glass or the fact it can't even tell the different digital signature of the two droids who are different models.

>why did david breathe a sigh of relief when daniels got the alien off the ship? he's the one responsible for the alien being there.

I think the alien got into Demian Bichir's mouth on planet but didn't suffocated him enough to put him out

Having the Xeno running around the station with the other sleeping colonists and embryos wasn't a good idea either

Although everyone fucking knew the truth at that point.

>>82949192

trips of truth

Weyland is behind the WHOOOOOOOOLE thing.
>le evil corporation

Walter will return in the next movie, fully healed, with a flute for a hand, and he'll blow David the fuck out with the space jockey ship. The entire colonist mission was simply Weyland's cover to retrieve David and the xeno assets, just for the ship to "mysteriously vanish" so that David can engineer the xenos to perfection.

>b-but
Think about the scene where they ask why no one has picked up this planet before. It has ion storms on it near enough the entire time, which disguises it's electro magnetic signal (or whatever), or simply - Weyland filtered it out of their data when organising/helping company X/govt out with the colonist mission.

It all does make sense but it's done in such a roundabout way that I don't even know IF they are gonna be that smart and follow along, or if we are all just reading far too much in.

Jesus fucking Christ. It's like I'm really on reddit. Why don't you complain about an actual flaw, like the fact that the characters other than David/Walter exist only as fodder for the aliens?

3. Ye is kinda weird whatever
4. Didn't freak out about alien sounds in the forest

6. Discover an alien spaceship, dont freak out dont even inform the other groups
7. Find evidence of HUMAN REMAINS in delirict alien space ship, still dont freak out

9. Bringing gay couples on a small colonisation ship

Them not wearing suits and not giving a shit about breathing in some dust from shit they steeped in is a valid complaint
>>
>>82951746
Exactly; everyone knew it was him.

The real fun was trying to sort out HOW he was going to reveal himself? Would he crash the rescue ship back on the surface to strand them there and force Danny and Tenny to fuck and make babies to experiment with? Or will he crash the main colony ship and wake everyone up to do the same? Or what ended up happening in the movie? Or set it up for Bro-Walter to make his ACTUAL twist-surprise-ending reappearance and rescue everyone from David with the recovered Engineer ship?

THAT was the real plan...

After that scene, nothing can have sense in the story anymore

He was fucked no matter what; the facehugger would've just ran after the Cap'n.

It seems perfectly reasonable that the Company knows about David and inserted a line of code into the programing of ALL Mother's to give anyone who give this authorization code full access to the ship.

Mother has always been in cahoots with the Company and any resident androids.

>>
>>82952140
Not him but they probably just weren't even given hazmat suits. The entire plan was to just send them to the colony which shouldn't have nasty viruses that would require them to wear that shit upon entry. So, logically, unlike Prometheus where they had suits but took them off, it was taken a step further and there were never any suits to begin with.

There were no aliens left when they returned to the ship, and they had no reason to believe that anything else was amiss.

...wait, are you talking about when they were in the city or after they returned to the ship and the two were taking a shower together?

If it was the city; David told them it was perfectly safe, and he did "rescue" them, so they didn't have any immediate reason to doubt him. At least for long enough to just wash their face.

...

> And the captain should have shot David on sight

The desire for more information was more important.

>just weren't even given hazmat suits.
Well, just, don't descend on the unknown planet, you could get space aids you know?

In a terraforming ship, so you can terraform and make it habitable, maybe clean those nasty viruses

>The Prometheus expedition
That clearly gone wrong before, and with the CEO of your corporation, nonetheless
That's a certain background to better up those safety protocols

I mean come on man, no one in the production really gave two shits about the movie.
>>
>>82952372
They detected it but it didn't have the same readings it did or something. The engineers probably had a device or devices that made the planet seem anything but barren left over from whatever the fuck caused them to regress into what we see in the film.
>>
>>82952189
>You're right. Just because you said so. Gotcha.
But they matter, just because you said so.

Stories are built on contrivances. There's no sense in asking why they weren't wearing suits. They didn't. The end. Who cares? If they hadn't been infected, there wouldn't have been a story. If they had been infected, somehow, with their suits on, it wouldn't have changed the story in any way. All it would have done is assuage your insane, nitpicky autism. And it probably would have made for a lot less interesting of a scene, visually.
>>
>>82952340

>>
>>82952490
Well the assault rifles ended up protecting them anyway, since it was the only way they survived long enough against the Neomorphs in the field.

But I mean, as long as the air is breathable and they don't detect any contaminants with the scan, and the fact that medical tech is so advanced in their time, I don't think it's THAT far fetched that they wouldn't use suits.

Most pathogens rely on interacting with certain receptor proteins to infect you, which requires tightly-linked evolution between you and the pathogen. It's the reason most viruses only infect a few species while others are completely immune.

The thing you'd probably be most worried about is breathing in some shitty organic compounds because genuine alien life would probably just die inside you or something.
