>An asteroid is just six months away from colliding with Earth.
Could this really happen?

Yes, there have been several near misses in the past
>>82944120
That's pretty terrifying. I can't stop thinking about it now
6 months isn't enough time to do anything about an asteroid impact event, besides throwing a lot of nukes at it and hoping for the best.
if it was going to be anything bigger than a city buster sized event. there isn't even any point in telling anyone.

Every day you have the chance to be cleaned up by a speeding automobile, and those odds are way higher
>>82945058
How much time would need in adavance to move the planet so that the asteroid doesn't hit?
>>82945412
Bruh, stop being a faggot. You're going to die one day regardless. Just get over it.

Potential cancer or blod clots are more terrifying due to their higher probability, anon.
>>82945620
Not to mention the likely hood of anal rape! It's pretty much an inevitability.
Human timescale is pretty tiny compared to cosmic timescale you need for asteroid hit to become likely. And if we detected an asteroid 6 months prior to collision it'd be childs play to make it miss by modern nukes changing it trajectory by 0.00001 degrees.
Whats more likely is a solar storm destroying satellites/electronics on earth.

I won't even ask where you live, anon, but it's one of those moments when I'm happy to live in my small Eastern European village.
>>82944089
I hope so. Sick of this world and every piece of shit human in it.

Human timescale could be hundreds of millions of years
