I haven't seen Covenant yet but my guess is you got it right. Covenant might be a 7.5 but who knows

except for that if alien is a 9/10 then aliens is a 7 at best

Honestly, I can't fathom why so many of you think Alien 3 is better than Resurrection. It at least succeeds at being an over the top comic booky take on the franchise. Alien 3 was too much of a mess to even accomplish that.
