My problem with the movie was, there was just so much goddamn CGI. The entire thing seemed like it was shot on a greenscreen. Credit to the actors for giving it their all and making it semi-believable but it felt fake in the same way the Star Wars prequels felt fake. Too artificial, too much animation.

I really loved the first one and have seen it at least 10 times. I have no desire to watch this again until maybe right before the next one comes out.

Just got back from the kinoplex after seeing this, and I think that is what I like about these films.

It's more like fun, standalone action sci-fi than superheroes. Cybernetics, jetpacks, guns, and spaceships are all over the place, and there are a bunch of funky planets and aliens. It feels more like ;what fun, 2017 era, big budget science fiction should be.

It felt like a pretty bad episode of Rick and Morty. Except Rick and Morty is over in 30 minutes and doesn't cost me anything to watch. Glad my friends decided to go to the local theater to watch this instead of the expensive one 40 minutes away.
