it's a current book by Hickman. Basically the US is split into various territories. There's Texas, an Asian Controlled one, a more "western"-looking one, etc, etc. The Horsemen descend to bring about the Apocalypse, "helped" by a few Chosen (the leaders of those "nations"), but Death has gone AWOL, has been on Earth for years, and has a child who is the Antichrist/Beast of the Apocalypse.

So Death is looking for his kid, the Chosen are trying to fuck each other and come out on top, and the Horsemen wanna fuck shit up. It's a mix of sci-fi, politics and paranormal.

They should try again with Blueberry. I could think of a few great faces for the role, but Josh Brolin would be my top choice.

The Renegade movie was decent on its own, but expecting it to be Blueberry made it a disappointment.
