Who's ready for Jim Henson inspired kino?
>netflix original
pretty much guaranteed to suck
>weird 80s fantasy things are getting revisited

It looks like a pretty heavy amount of practical effects are going into this, I'll give it a chance as long as it remains all puppets
I remember watching the original Dark Crystal, and it was great. I'm pretty sure the world needs more nice and quiet fairy tales for children with great practical effects in this age of cynicism, so I hope it won't suck.

It's because the 2010s is a re-imaging of the 80s.
I keep on saying this but Ghost In the Shell was the revival of carpenter verhoveen movies. Just wait and see.

if this does well, I think it pretty much guarantees a revisit of Labyrinth
But you think Labyrinth would have gotten redone before something by Jim Henson. I'm usually against remakes and reboots but this has me unreasonably excited. Dark Crystal is my favorite childhood one-off
This pleases me. There were few good fantasy Movies in my childhood. Conan, Legend, Willow but this was the best of them and deserves a revival.

>all those comments about Odd1sOut or whatever
>go to his yt channel and watch his recent video on Dark Crystal
>all he does is rip on it for not explaining everything
Is the mystery aspect of this movie not what makes it so cool? It's just a glimpse into this weirdo world that you don't know anything about, and that's kind of what makes it so interesting
