What does /tv/ think of this film? I've seen it twice recently

One of the best slashers ever, tbqh.

It was pretty shit. Adam Wingard is just an even worse Ti West.

it's fun as hell. the acting in the first 1/3 is fucking awful, but once it gets going, it gets going

I really enjoyed it. I didn't go in expecting much either.

I can no longer tell which threads are supposed to be ironic shitposting, or which are genuine. This is one of those threads for me.

I liked how completely out of nowhere the girl's survival skills were. She's just a normal gal until shit goes down, and even once she starts kicking ass she's clearly scared shitless and just doing the best she can. She never became some unrealistic amazon war-goddess and I really appreciated that.

The movie gives you a hint that she's not the average screaming slasher protagonist when she stabs the guy who grabs her through the window, but when she actually kills one you're like "Wait what, holy fuck."
I think the movie is a clever deconstruction of a very played out genre.

I found it exceedingly boring.
