I just watched this and it was great. What other John Woo movies are worth watching?
the killer
it's actually surprising how grim and cynical it is compared to hard-boiled

The Big Hit with Mark Wahlberg
none of his american ones
the killer, a better tomorrow 1 & 2, full contact and god of gamblers
>>82720197
Don't be stupid. Face Off is action kino
>>82720197
Fuck off, chink purist.
His HK stuff is the best, yeah, but Face/Off is amazing.
Broken Arrow and Hard Target are also worth watching.

>the killer
this and hard boiled go really well together
>>82719991
Worth a watch but not really John Woo.
>>82720197
A Better Tomorrow 1 and 2 AND Bullet in the Head instead of ABT 3.

Hard Target and Broken Arrow are pure action kino. Without John Woo those would be pure trash. one can tell how much he loves his craft when he elevates lesser material into classic action.
For more HK Woo fare there's also Once a Thief.
For more Hollywood Woo you can watch the second half of Mission Impossible 2, it's a blast. And then the bike chase scene from Paycheck, it's really good.
The only recent-ish John Woo movies worth are Red Cliff 1 and 2, if you're in the mood for chinese medieval style epics.
Have you seen the remake?
Why's he holding a babby?
Still haven't seen hard boiled btw

"Give the guy a gun and he's Superman, give him two and HE'S GOD!"
Pure kino

Since no one ever mentions it in Woo threads; Bullet in the Head is great and raw as fuck.
It's one of his best movies imo, but somehow never gets mentioned anywhere.
Thanks guys, I'll check out The Killer next
