hey its my first time on this board, looks great

i watched the warriors the other night, fucking awesome movie, i also watched the get down, some might not agree but i think it was pretty good.

im looking for some more movies/series about the south bronx, gangs, graffiti and new york in the 70s in general
anyone have suggestions ?

Maybe not exactly what youre into or looking for to get glimpes of the actual culture of the time check out the "radiant child" documentary about basquiat and the first (maybe second) episode of hip hop evolution on netflix. Lots of stories about how the bronx were burning and how the culture evolved out of what was going on in the city
