Why didn't they ever make any more live action Star Wars movies outside the 2 main trilogies and the Ewok movies, until Disney took over?
Who's gonna fund it

George Lucas? He could have been a producer and let someone else write and direct.

Oh look it's Kyle Katarn, ex-Empire soldier turned Rebel spy, ace pilot, weapons expert and Jedi Knight, remember that time he went to the dark side but then came back to the light?
anyway enough about him, why is Rey such a fucking Mary sue?

Basicly Lucas didn't enjoy that he had lost his status as a movie genius, and got burned on the idea of making more movies. Also he was old. And ofcourse he wasn't going to let anyone else make the movies because:
>The epic itself is basically about one man. You pass through a lot of things, but you never get to look at it. [With ’Clone Wars’], we’re not burdened by the mythological underpinnings. We get to go more places,” Lucas said. “The story about Anakin Skywalker and his fall into the dark side and redemption by his son, that’s finished. It was started when he was 10, it ends when he died. There’s no more story to tell

Anon, it's a videogame. He's only as much of a Sue as the player is.

Because Rey is part of the main saga, the part of the canon that you can not possibly ignore.
And because there's no good videogame with her as a protagonist.
Kyle at least made the games fun and their story was alright. And he was the secondary canon that you can ignore if you are a normie but enjoy if you are a nerd. Rey is main canon.
Also Kyle took a while to learn his skills. Rey is suddenly almighty.
I admit Kyle is a Mary Sue as well though. But Rey was written by the best writers they could find. Kyle was written by a bunch of nobodys mostly, as far as I know.

I had to mention them. They are the only live action Star Wars movies apart from the main saga. You could also count the Holiday Special but Idk if that counts as a movie in the same sense as the rest.

>You could also count the Holiday Special but Idk if that counts as a movie in the same sense as the rest.
Because Lucas was afraid that they could be better than their own

Shite excuse
After the sequel trilogy/spin offs are over I predict that there will be a Starwars Live action TV show
