so now that "Green Screen" is starting to show it's age and we are way past "Blue Screen"... is the dawn of "Red Screen" finally upon us? will it revolutionize kino? when will they finally start using it in mainstream cinematique?

I don't think you know how green screening works, anon.

Is this bait or are you just an underageb& who knows nothing about chromakeying?
Green Sscreen "replaced" blue screen because digital sensors worked better with green due to the double sensitivity. Blue screen is still widely used in cases where there is a lot of green in the shot.
Red screen will never take off because of the color of skin.

Implying brown and yellow screens are not better than red, blue or green screens. Fucking pleb.

>Red screen will never take off because of the color of skin.

Except that studios are more and more using CGI as a replacement for makeup, and even nude scenes

just switch to green screen when there are native american actors

Lord of the rings had plenty of scenes with bluescreen. I wonder how if the some scenes with bluescreen background would have turned out with greenscreen instead.

The same
Practical sets > CGI
>>82674430
So there's no practical difference between blue and greenscreen?
>>82674549
It depends on the costumes and props in the scene. If you have someone in a green outfit you'll use bluescreen, if you have someone in a blue outfit you'll use green, otherwise it doesn't really matter.

Green is supposed to work better with digital cameras, but it mostly just depends on what color costumes/etc. you want to use.

IIRC blue screen worked better when shots were composited by chemical process, green, as others have said, work better with digital cameras and compositing.
