I know a lot of people like to give shit about fanedits, but the Q2 FWWM edit is fantastic, in my opinion. It places The Missing Pieces back into the film and even though it's long, it's great. I believe the only Missing Pieces scene missing from the edit is Cooper talking to Diane at the FBI headquarters, because there was nowhere it really fit in.

I wouldn't recommend it to a first-timer, but I watch it semi-regularly when I'm in the mood to watch FWWM. It's easy to find a DL link if you look hard enough.

The editing is completely fine for the amount of material at hand. Some of the smash cuts/sudden change of tone were intentional, as they aren't done with all the edits. I agree, but I think the tone and even the appearance was different from the actual show. It tried too hard to hammer home "this is the 60s"... all the characters spoke differently, Pete had a picture of "Trudy" on his desk that was some old woman and not Alison Brie. Plus, the difference in the set. I think it's a good standalone episode, but it has a lot of inconsistencies that don't match other episodes.

The Sopranos had the same type of thing. Tony's accent being lighter, Satriale's had a different name, etc.

I get why this stuff happens (shot much earlier, different shooting locations) but it really takes me out of it.
