Currently rewatching it, I forgot how likeable all the characters were, they all have their own quirks and personalities that make them endearing.

I'm ever wary of the impending adaptation. Swearengen was long dead at this age if I'm not mistaken, and Bullock had moved on from Deadwood.
The ending was perfect as it was, I don't want another old people reunion.

I'm hyped for the movie

I feel like the whole idea of a Deadwood movie is misguided. Everything great about this show stems from it being a tv show: the huge cast, the lack of any driving plot, the low key moments and humor that fill the show, seeing a community grow in something relative to real time. The best moments in the series are Al passing a kidney stone and the boy's funeral, not exactly the kind of drama you get in a 2 hour film

So if this potentially shoots in 2018, we probably can't expect it until late that year or 2019 then, can we?
