Was this кинo? How do canadians manage to make a better horror flick than anything hollywood has done in the last 20 years?
Falls apart in the 3rd act

Yeah. Ending was pretty bad. Overall the rest of the movie was pretty great though.

shut up canada
stop shilling your leaf shit
i have a few problems with the void. first, the monsters looked cool the first time i saw them, but they lacked something threatening because of how slow they moved. in carpenter's the thing, the monster moved so fast and felt like it could do some real damage. in the void it was obvious that it was just some dude in a suit lumbering around like a dope.
the other thing i didn't like was how the white robed cultists just disappeared with no explanation. what happened to them all?

It was okay aesthetically, at least in the later parts, but if it was attempting to really do Lovecraft it didn't get the ontology right.
It played out like a student film.
Who pays for this shit.

It was pretty nice, but nothing more.
It had great visuals.

>the other thing i didn't like was how the white robed cultists just disappeared with no explanation. what happened to them all?Yeh, last we see of them is when they're in the morgue/temple and dude says they're ready for their transformation. Then when big daughter monster comes out, you see them laying on the ground in rows and monster stomps one of their heads.I guess that was part of the plan?

and there were only 2 of them down there. earlier in the movie when the deputy and the two other dudes go outside there were about a dozen white robes out there.

>thinks he sounds clever..

I thought it was poor.
It had an identity crisis - didn't know what it wanted to be or who it wanted to give nods to.
