Anyone here have a 4k tv?
They're not mega-expensive anymore but I wondered if there was any reason to buy one yet.
Mmmmnnnnnot really imo.
The detail is nice though I've yet to watching any 4k films on mine besides a few Black Mirror episodes. 4k detail with humans is gross as fuck though.
I'm waiting till 2019 to get a 40"

yea i have one OP, it's great. Use it as a monitor as well. The HDR is great for flicks if you tweak the settings a bit.

Yeah and it came with a red stuck pixel I can't fix and I didn't get a warranty.
It pisses me off
I have one.
OLED is the best one to get if you dont care about money.
Samsung Quantumdot is best value for money, its what I have.

Did you buy it new? If you're sold a faulty product you can take it back
Not yet. Still waiting to see who wins the whole HDR thing and when OLED will come down in price.
Did they officially crack 4K disc yet or was it just an exploit for one movie?
I have a 4k monitor.
It cost around 800 quid

not if youre happy with your current setup, not really.
I have a samsung 4k tv with HDR.
4k adds nothing but colors really pop and its bright so id say its worth it but not for 4k.
Don't go 4k unless you want to buy a large (40+ inches) TV. The difference in resolution is pretty negligible on a smaller screen and most ads/TV shows are just up-rezing to 4k anyway.
Once HDR becomes mainstream it'll be worth getting one because the colour/contrast is so much better than regular HD, but there isn't a standard and shit is way too expensive because it's a new technology.
