I thought I was the only one. I hate this sort of low contrast, washed out (raw) color grading. Looks like shit, feels cheap and the outdoor scenes in daylight looked fucking horrible.

I disagree. Most of the shots looked too flat, and the value contrast wasn't good for a majority of the movie.

I guess they needed some backstory for the mexican family in order to make the ending work and show that it doesn't really matter what side of the fence you're on. when it comes to the war on drugs and the cartell, the every day joe is simply fucked.
