Thoughts on this movie? Just watched it and it was pretty good

It's one of the few movies I never finished watching. I can take violence, but here it was just gratuitious. The acting was terrible, the story was shit.
The only highlight was finding out that the actor who played the old professor guy ahd only every done porn roles before and after.

I thought it lived up to the reputation pretty well IMO. It definitely feels pretty authentic and the score is just disgusting in a perfect way. Honestly the only good found footage movie other than BWP

Poor Faye ( ._.) I wish i was there when deodato screened it for sergio leone. Frankly i think the rape scene in Once Upon a Time in America was influenced by this edgy movie. Leone said to Deodato the movie might fool people into thnking it's real. He was right.

Cannibal Holocaust has a tight narrative. Not having a story is not a criticism you can legitimately level at it.

I thought it was a really strong takedown of the entire mind film movement. Seems a pretty obscure topic today, but I guess it was relevant enough for him at the time.

Ferox is a rip-off that has no idea what it means by that. Holocaust has a point. Bear in mind who's saying it. Bear in mind that he ate human flesh just to get his hands on the expedition footage.
