Is it cringey to buy an article of clothing worn by a fictional character?

I want Rick's jacket. Mostly because i actually have one similar to it that i've worn for years and now the pockets are coming apart, but i like Rick's better and want to buy it.

Anyone ever buy a character's clothes?
>>
>>82454640
I bought wolverines jacket, wore it twice and then never put it on again.

So yes, it's cringe worthy.
>>

>Is it cringey to buy an article of clothing worn by a fictional character?
A good looking jacket is a good looking jacket, but I would be too scared of being called out.

It's not cringey at all. Here's me in my scorpion jacket.
>>
>>82454640
as long as it's not something like >>82454735
or >>82454697
then I don't think it matters, Rick's looks like a pretty normal jacket
>>
So long as it isn't entirely obvious that what tour wearing belonged to a fictional character.

It would be different if you wanted to dress like Neo. Rick's coat is genuinely good looking.

What was the point of your post? Did you not see this guy >>82454817 make that point already?
>>
>>82455275
Well if my post was pointless, and you're replying to my post that makes 2 pointless posts.

Now there's 3.
>>
>>82455275
What was the point of your post? OP asked a question wanting multiple answers, if he agrees with someone else then he's sharing that opinion
Dumb ass
>>
>>82455361
Can you please answer my question?
>>
>>82455221

It's only $120 on amazon, but i'm unsure of the quality and sizes.

Negan's jacket is only $90 and i might get that for halloween.
>>
>>82455396
Been answered already
>>
>>82455413
>leather jacket for $90
I can assure you it's shit and will fall apart after wearing it for a week
>>
Depends. If it if a very specific custom made jacket then yes. I would cringe if I saw someone with the Driver jacket.

Ricks jacket is just a generic looking one. Looks like a sherpa jacket. Levi will have a jacket that is similar to that.

I buy whatever I think looks good. I go for more style than actual specific clothes. So I see a henley shirt that looks good in a color then I go to jcrew or wherever and buy a henley in that color.
>>
>>82455396
OK, I agreed with the guy and op asked for opinions, I also gave my opinion.
>>
I'd never buy a direct replica of TV clothing as the quality would be SHIT
Just buy something similar from a decent shop
>>
I wanted to buy a swedish parka since at least 2012
>>
>>82455470

My grandpa bought me a James Dean leather jacket for like $60 or $70 when i was a kid, i still wear it today. (It was way too big on me back then and fits now)

But yeah, a cheap Negan jacket on amazon is probably shit.
>>
>>82455503
I agree with people all the time but it doesn't give me the urge to create white noise. Do you create white noise off the internet too? There's a really dumb guy who has a habit of repeating what my buddy says right after my buddy says it. It pisses us off. You lower the tone.
>>
>>82454735
I bought this. I showed it off to friends a few times and almost wore it out until I saw people on here say it's basically a red flag for autism.

Worst part is it was expensive (though clearly a cheap product) and it was a gift from a family friend who is pretty poor.

Maybe I'll wear it when I kill myself.
>>
I bought Tony Stark's sunglasses and wear them all the time.

As long as it's not too obvious, it will be fine. But don't buy cheap replica clothing. A sherpa-collar leather jacket shouldn't be too hard to find.
>>
>A regular ass jacket
>Cringey
You think people will give a shit?
Even if you're gonna wear the jacket from Drive, people won't care since most of them didn't see it
They might say "Huh, cool jacket"
All you have to say is "Thanks"
>>
>>82454640
>Is it cringey to buy an article of clothing worn by a fictional character?
No. After The Governor lost his eye I started wearing an eyepatch just to look distinguished. Nobody ever cringed.
>>
>>82455674
Jeez dude... calm down.
You're going to get through this

Not him, but you sound like you're projecting your anger. He really made you look like a jackass.
>>
>>82454735
Is that Ted Cruz?
>>
>>82455581
When your granddad bought it for you 20 or so years ago it was probably made in America for being practical, not made in a Chinese sweatshop for numales to wear for a halloween outfit once
>>
>>82454640
I wanted to wear Adam Jensen's trench coat from Deus Ex HR. Glad I never did. Could you imagine?
>>
>>82454640
I've tried looking for this same jacket. Costume designer on TWD said its custom made.

Oh god. Amd the worst part is it won't be some manly weight lifting alpha male wearing one of those. It will be a morbidly obese low test numale.
>>
>>82456214
Back when AssCreed was big (before AC3 shat on its fanbase and before Unity nuked the rest) people actually bought these.

They NEVER looked like what they were advertised and were made out of the cheapest material possible.

The N7 jacket was worse in terms of nuMale wearership though.
>>
>>82456214
>Amd the worst part is it won't be some manly weight lifting alpha male wearing one of those
Do you really think anybody would actually look good wearing one of those? They're an eye sore in design and color
>>
If your wardrobe isn't exclusively plain T-shirts in different colors then you're seriously dressing out of your age range if you're old enough to be on this website

People make immediate judgments of you based on what you're wearing, doesn't matter what it is. Vans shirt, graphic tee, obscure videogame reference, if there's a single fucking design on your shirt that isn't a Ralph Lauren logo or a Tommy Hilfiger logo, you dress like fucking shit
>>
>>82456295
I used to wear one of those stormtrooper hoodies that you could fully zip up and it would cover your face. I cringe thinking about it. I used to sleep in class with it fully zipped up so people wouldn't see one of my silly sleeping faces.
>>
>>82456406
>If your wardrobe isn't exclusively plain T-shirts in different colors then you're seriously dressing out of your age range if you're old enough to be on this website

My wardrobe consists of button down shirts, slacks, and jeans, yet apparently the pinnacle of fashion is plain T-shirts according to anon.
>>
>>82456406
I wear a black tshirt and blue jeans every single day. Not even kidding. It's comfy.
>>
>>82456406
what if i dressed in plain t shirts my entire life? I never liked having designs on my clothes. It's sad if you switched how you dress because you think youre too old and are worried people are going to judge you.
>>
>>82456406

I used to wear band tee shirts in high school until i realized how cringey and embarrassing it is. Now i wear them only for shit like mowing the lawn and pajamas when it's cold.
>>
>>82457272
How are band tshirts cringe and embarrassing?
>>
>>82457316

They're childish unless it's something subtle. If you wear black illegible metal shirts after your teens are over, you're a virgin or a douche.
>>
>>82457789
You sound like the virginal douche.

He's right. You can wear band shirts around the house or lowkey errends/chores, but you really shouldn't be wearing them out on the town or to class.
They're juvenile.
>>
I don't think it's cringey you should wear whatever makes you happy. i bought one of the black shirts the teacher wears in Whiplash. people sometimes give me some weird looks but i don't give a shit.

Popular garb in most countries.

It's just a bomber jacket, anon. It's pretty popular in the colder areas of the states. Besides, Rick only wears it very briefly in the show.
>>
>>82456295
I have the N7 hoodie from ME2, and its legitimately the comfiest hoodie I've ever owned.
It isn't something I wear out on the town, but when it gets cold out its perfect for just bumming around the house.

And you think anyone would even notice?

The jacket in pic related looks generic enough that it's fine. I mean, a lot of Bond's clothing is completely wearable.

Don't buy some fucking Mass Effect leather jacket though
>>
>>82459371
Wolverines jacket is one of the cringiest things I've ever seen, I love autists like you that wear this shot in public and think they look great
>>
>>82459481
It's just a mechanics jacket. I've got one in my closet.
Bond was /fa/ as fuck, and never wore some kind of recognizable costume. A nice linen suit will never go out of style.

>>82455683
Good for Halloween senpai

Its a leather motorcycle jacket anon, with some minor accents.

>>82459660
I don't have it but it looks pretty standard. Whats wrong with it?

>>82459044

More specifically the M65 pattern jacket.
