You prequel children are still awed by the idea that Lucas planned all this out and always intended to make prequels to the original trilogy. The dialogue in the prequels is just so awful and none of the characters are relatable. The general ideas of Anakin falling to the dark side and so on could have been good in the hands of competent writers and directors but he insisted on being in control of everything.
