The placebo effect is strong. Experiments dont work without a controlled variable. The people who do those kinds of drug trials have no treatment options left, like theyre gonna die anyway. I dont see how thats unethical. Its not like doctors decide to just not treat a cancer patient because they need to give someone sugar pills.
