I just hovered over the [Embed], saw the thumbnail and felt disgusted by the smooth nu Simpson style.

Not even trying to be edgy. I just can't watch it. It is almost nauseating to me, the smooth movements and the uniform level of details. Something is just unsettling about it.

This is a cringe worthy attempt at winning back the favor and riding the wave of moderate pushback towards the radical "left". The Simpsons have announced only their lack of soul or commitment in this clip. Though I find the politics coming here under attack absolutely repulsive and emblematic of the troubles of our time, I would almost wish The Simpsons had stayed its course in commitment to them. What we see is the flippy floppy market nihilism of today's identity politic-narcissism. No, this scene is not even funny. The jokes are forced, and they are run through like talking points, hitting every nail on the head to assure their viewers they are still "on their side". It's pathetic. The death rattle of a long dying and artistically empty franchise.
