Is this as gorey and nasty as people say it is? Considering people supposedly faint while watching it. I have no issues with gore or gross out material at all myself, but I want to know in case I go see it with other people who might not be able to deal with it.

I saw it at an early screening of it in Aus, the director was there and said she was surprised no one vomited or fainted.
I feel it's probably just a marketing ploy, don't fall for it. If you and your friends can get through Cronenberg stuff, you can get through this.
