Funny how many of the germanic tribes did not actually became german speakers, let alone germans.
But those were funny times. Are Ukrainian slavs? Yes. But how much of greek, goth, varangian, and scythian is there?
I come from center italy, gothic kingdom for a while. Mainly italic for sure, but is fun how 2 little towns there are named after a latinized version of "wald".

I think is always dubbed with a german accent.
because for the author, since is a funny parody and not an historically accurate tale, any germanic, goth included, equals to german.
They do it for simplicity and to parody germans (or whoever else, in other instances).
Is fun and appropriate like that, but strictly speaking, the OP asked "he is german".
