It failed because Major does not go full-frontal like she did in the 1995 anime. I put forth the theory that the only reason why the original GiTS became a mainstream success in the West is because you see boobs (this just in: humans are more simple than we would like to believe). i was about to say Sulu in the reboot star trek movies but then i remembered they made him an expert at fencing, which is a martial art. can anyone actually think of a movie with a male asian lead that doesn't have him with martial art skills?
