Reminder that Stannis, at least in the books, had TWO demon babies at his disposal. And what does he do with them? Kills his younger brother and some random castillian that had a bastard by Robert, instead of killing the two acknowledged sons of Robert and his wife, the only two people that were in front of him in the line of sucession. So, instead of truly become the rightful king at the eyes of everyone, and not just the people that watch the show, or read the books, or are just Stannisfags, Stannis choses to remain a rebel lord and just enhance his rebel army and get out of the picture a potential rebel lord

Declares himself king right on spot and become a rebel with limited support. What should he have done? Declare himself loyal to Joffrey and pay him a visit to King's landing. A visit that would allow him to smuggle Davos (an expert smuggler and born in king's landing) and Melisandre to the capital. Then, after Stannis went out, Melisansdre's baby demon should kill Tommen first. Some time passes, Stannis is smuggled into King's landing by Davos, turns Melisandre pregnant again, and Joffrey dies. Thus, Stannis becomes the true king
