This board is truly shit when you can't even get advice about a film

I personally found it pretty boring and full of plot points without proper payoffs

It has some moments that kinda stick with you (especially if you watch it as a child).
The tv show with Rob Lowe is much much better

It's 3 hours long and not great desu. It's not shit, but when a movie is over 3 hours long it better be worth your time, which this is not. The only people who love it are autists who watched it as a kid, have a deep nostalgic attachment to it so now they're incapable of critically evaluating it. It's just meh. Don't bother. The sequel, A Return to Salem's Lot is actually immensely entertaining. About 90 minutes long, very goof and silly but entertaining as hell.
