There are people who work fulltime, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week with almost no vacation, doing jobs that are way worse than sitting around and playing video games, and still get minimum wage. I have no respect for people who excuse their lack of motivation, their anxiety or their depression for not doing jobs like this. If you can't handle it, either quit or keep communicating with your audience to make sure what you're up to. People like Spoony and other content creators that got over 2000 dollars through patreon were so incredibly fortunate, and I can't believe they fucked it up so badly. Even back when I was a TGWTG fan, I thought Spoony was more sad and angry than actually funny. At least with AVGN, you can tell he's having fun. But even with the goofy Spoony videos, he just came off as bitter and I never really got why people liked him.

Spoony comes across as Egoraptor's Bad End to me. While both dropped their ambitions to do LPs and streams, but while Arin managed to get a very comfortable living doing it even without a Patreon, and gets national tours and regular brand deals with Wendy's. Say what you will about how lame Game Grumps is, but Arin's doing pretty well for himself just by Let's Playing.

But Spoony hasn't gotten any of that and just spends all of his time on Twitter or in his bed.
