Any prison movie recommendations? I've seen the following,

Two French movies. One old, one from the New Wave era.

A Nous La Liberte and Le Trou. Especially Le Trou.

There's also Cool Hand Luke, and I Was a Fugitive on a Chain Gang starring Paul Muni.

Scum is quite good but a little dated. Very grim and gritty representation of English prison life. The rape scene is still very disturbing.
