One of the Staciest Staceys at my school (I'm a teacher) has a variety of mental disabilities, including I believe a learning disability in reading and an emotional disturbance.

I think I'd be the same. I've worked with intellectually disabled people in the past and had 0 anxiety with them whatsoever. Did you anticipate social anxiety before you started placements etc.?

Before I started teaching, which was a while back, I was in denial about having social anxiety disorder, so without that meta-awareness it's hard for me to characterize emotions from back then. I can say that I was nervous as shit, although I imagine all student teachers and first year teachers are because it's daunting (even though the consequences are almost nonexistent).
