Any greeks kinos?
>300
>Troy
What else? Also I saw a pretty good Jason adaption from like the 60s that was really cool. Especially something like that would be appreciated.

Bit of a time leap but since this is a Greece thread are there any standout movies set in the Byzantine Empire?
Xena and Hercules with based Lawless and Sorbo.
There's also this trash with Driver man I suppose.
All that comes to mind really are the shitty clash of the titans movies, that awful Immortals movie, and a bunch of Helen of troy adaptations. Greece is treated even worse than Rome.

How much of ancient greece was prevalent in Byzantine culture?
>>82084061
All filtered through two lenses: Christ and Rome.
Little raw authentic classic culture remained, I think. Aristotle maybe, and the historians.
>>82083681
Alexander, from 2004, directed by Oliver Stone
>>82083973
Fatih 1453
>>82084345
he asked for kinos not flicks
>>82084345

Terrible. Absolutely terrible.
Both of those movies are complete fucking garbage
>>82084499
I assume this was what you were talking about in the OP. Check Clash of the Titans out.

So recommend some good ones instead of just shitting up the thread with your worthless opinions

If you enjoyed Troy and 300 too you're probably too retarded to understand any reason they give you.

>>82084856
How does liking Alexander make me underaged? I'm probably much older than you
>>82084847
Give me a reason, pussy.
>>82084758
I'll be honest, it's been a long time since I saw it and I don't remember that well. I remember hating it though. If I recall correctly it was crammed full of personal drama and weird mommy-issues, which is mostly speculation historically speaking. At the same time it sped right by the interesting parts of the story, like the politics, the culture clashes, and Alexander's tactical innovations. Also the narration by Anthony Hopkins is lazy and talks down to the audience. Show, don't tell.
Because it was Oliver Stone there are like 5 different cuts of it available, and I have no idea if any of them are better than whatever I saw.
>>82085123
It's probably Collin Farrel's worst performance to date, and that's saying a lot.
>>82083681
Tyler Perry made a lot of movies about Medea, you might start there.
>>82086337
heh
>>82083681
For something a little more bizarre, try Reign the Conqueror, originally titled Alexander, by Peter Chung of Aeon Flux fame
>>82083681
Seriously. This is the best media about Greek mythology
