I watched a Lindybeige video about its historical inaccuracies and there were just way too many glaring mistakes for me to even consider watching it. The costumes looked like they'd been picked up out of the bin behind a fancy dress shop and I've seen more realistic battle recreations in Age of Empires.

Sorry OP, but I am a pedant and an autist when it comes to history, it's part of the reason I could never get into Vikings either, although that show at least had a few metal props.
