Me in what seems a normal class, the teacher then says suddenly:

>"Hey class, we´re gonna watch a movie!"
>Normie classmates get happy
>Teacher puts on a shitty movie
>The majority of normie classmates enjoy it
>You suffer inside

I bet that happened to you to more than once; why do teachers and a lot of normies have such a bad taste?
>>
In 11th grade she put us on a Happy Madison marathon. They would say the lines when Adam Sandler said the lines as if they knew these movies by heart. At least I could bury my face in my desk. Couldn't fall asleep since the room was so tiny it bounced the loud audio off the walls. Some teachers make you take notes of movies for whatever insane reason.

This happened 4 times in my senior year
White House Down, My Cousin Vinny, National Treasure, and Inception. I fucking hate Inception solely for the fact that it is the most entry level "Wow ooo so deep" movie out there. Every fucking person in the class felt like they were watching a masterpiece and I just felt empty.

It's not like Film Studies are any better. We only go into the most surface level films out there, and I'm not autistic so I'm not going to shout about how vapid most of the films are. At the start of this semester, we went around and named our favorite movies, and i was trying to hide my power level so I said that mine was Enemy. Literally nobody ever heard of it, and when i tried explaining it, everyone just gave me an awkward silence until I said it had Jake Gyllenhaal in it.

Our music teacher put on Amadeus, split into two sessions

Those were the days I realized I shouldn't judge movies by the one-sentence summary because it turned out to be kino

>teachers showing movies instead of teaching

Now I know why so many of you believe the earth is flat and moon landing is a hoax.
>>
>>82051727
just do something else while the movie's on? also fuck off

>One of the teachers ended up getting fired for it
Damn and I thought nobody would care if you pirate.
>>
I feel this way every time anyone would request Up at camp events. Up is only a good film for the first 20 minutes when it's the montage sequence, then it's an annoying buddy comedy about an old fart and an annoying pre teen with a shit central conflict and multiple storylines that never get completed. Everyone used to think I was such a heartless asshole, but honestly why not just watch Wall-E?

My sophomore careers class showed Green Mile one day. I didn't see the irony in that until years later kek

Not for showing a pirated movie. For showing a movie instead of teaching. One of the girls sent a complaint to school board because her boyfriend broke up with her because he fell in love with teacher and she found out they're in a relationship which made her mad because nobody dumps her especially not for a teacher so she sent complaint about the movie.

I actually got to watch some decent films in high school.

Romeo and Juliet (1968) - English
Macbeth (1971) - English
Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984) - English
La Révolution française (1989) - History
Schindlers List (1993) - History
Outbreak (1995) - Biology
Amélie (2001) - French

Other than Outbreak, I don't remember watching that much garbage.
