Yeah it's pretty unethical/immoral since they'll pretend they're going at both sides equally, but at the moment they will focus on only criticizing one side while ignoring all flaws of the other.

If they could come up with decent jokes it wouldn't be so bad, but you can just sense genuine malice and disgust in the routines of these late night hosts that is really off putting.

This. These comedy late night news shows defend their blatant propaganda with 'dude it's just comedy' but none of their shit is actually funny, and I go as far as saying that this is objective. There is objectivity to comedy, and these shows are not comedy. It is an endless circlejerk. Sadly, the opposition resorts to the same kind of circlejerk disguised as comedy.

If the hosts are upfront about their own potential conflicts of interest/biases I don't think it's unethical. If they pretend that they're some objective arbiter or hide financial ties then yeah, it's pretty unethical.
