Tbh their portrayal of him has been super respectful to the original character. Timothy Zhan was personally contacted to oversee how Thrawn was handled in rebels (something they did NOT have to do), and was even hired to write a new Thrawn book to introduce him into the new canon. It's pretty solid too.

How far did you get into bloodline? It was solid but I'll admit it wasnt really what I wanted based on my expectations. It only REALLY picks up once Leia is outed as the spawn of Vader, but despite that being what all the marketing is based on, it didn't happen until the last third of the book

I love Star Wars and both Clone Wars and Rebels are a comfy watch for dinner or whatever.
I thought the duel between Ahsoka and Vader was pretty good.

Depends on the publisher desu. A lot of audiobooks are just a generic narrator reading to you, but Star Wars audiobooks usually have a full soundtrack, sound effects, and occasionally even multiple voice actors. It's more like a audio-only movie than a novel, which is convinient because that means you could listen on a train, at work, walking, where you wouldn't really be able to dedicate full attention to a physical book or movie.

That was easily the worst part for me too. As someone who loves star wars politics, I was really looking g forward to bloodline being the political book for me, but there was so much pointless action it really disappointed me. You are right though, the world building imo is a lot stronger than it was in the EU. Probably because this is the first time any sort of continuity has been enforced. Hearing about the different factions within the new republic was the highest point for me.

Read LotS, Ahsoka, Bloodlines, Aftermath, Bloodlines, and Dark Disciple. LotS was the shit, Sheev was especially based at the end, but something about the writing of Bloodlines made it feel very EU in my head.
