What would you consider his best -- not necessarily the most popular -- works to be?
Here come the contrarians
Anyways most his shit is good, some of it might not be top-tier kino level but it sure is entertaining
I'd say his weakest would be Django and Hateful Eight for me personally, which is a shame cause thats his two latest and meaning the direction he's going isn't really up my alley
>>81982412
Reservoir Dogs.
Jackie Brown was my favorite QT movie before it became a meme. Now whenever I say that, nobody believes me.
Death Proof is unironically his best film
And he's too stupid to even realize it (along with his retarded fanbase)
>>81982617
This. It's disgusting how much hate Death Proof gets.
>>81982617
Love it. The first half has a real cool slasher horror vibe then it closes off well with the chase scene. I've always never understood how people including himself think its his worst while praising the hell out of hateful eight
>>81982617
I seriously never understood the hate for it. I liked it the first time I watched it and every time since.
>>81982412
Most adult and least Fruit Brute "memey"? Jackie Brown.
Jackie Brown and Death Proof. This is one of those things that /tv/ has absolutely right.
Uno Farto

Kill Bill 1&2
>>81982412
this
>>81982617
His worst, but still a great film.
the one were i couldn't notice as much how he was ripping everyone else off.
>>81983038
>implying anything is worse than the memeful 8
>>81982412
why is he so based bros?
pulp
>>81982617
Death Proof is hugely underrated, but I still reckon Pulp Fiction is his best. Watching it for the first time, it's like no other film.
>>81982412
Pretty sure I'm the only one who considers Kill Bill his best work.
>>81983118
The thing about Quentin is that is head is filled with this shit. Not sure if that makes him a hack as much as it makes him just a little lazy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5fWXRiKY2U
I remmeber watching some videos a while back with he just talks about different films and filmaking in general. They weren't interviews or anything it might've even been a TV show or something. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't seem to find it.
>>81982999
>>81983318
This, it is his masterpiece
>>81983372
I can understand that if you watch a shit load of movies then it's going to seep into your own movies.
But I think as his career's gone on he's become less and less subtle about doing it. either because he knows he can get away with it or because he's out of ideas.
He's very intense about this particular era of filmmaking and probably feels like he's the only guy left doing films like that but it puts him in a box creatively more than anything else.

Do Kill Bill fags unironically think that it's just a great homage and that alone makes it great or have they never seen half of these movies?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4le3EDDAIQ
>>81983632
Also this.

>>81983838
It's just a great movie. Hateful 8 is his best since
Pulp Fiction. The only thing he's ever made that comes even close to it is The Hateful Eight.

>tfw dead meme
Jackie Brown is easily his best film.
Pulp Fiction
Too mad it destroyed American film as an art form.
Objectively speaking: Pulp Fiction but I've seen it way too many times and can't stand another re-watch
Second best is Kill Bill (for simplicity's sake I'll count is at one movie). Third is Jackie Brown.
>>81982412
Reservoir Dogs is my personal 10/10.
Weakest ones are Django, Hateful Eight and Inglorious Basterds - the most Hollywoody and normie-appealing ones imo
>1 mention of Jackie Brown
It's his masterpiece. I'd say that something happened after Jackie Brown and he was never the same
>>81982530
>I'd say his weakest would be Django and Hateful Eight for me personally
Agreed, even though Django was more entertaining than some, it's still structurally weak. His dialogue, meta universe and basic relative social weight his characters inherently need to posses in order to justify their very being just doesn't work in a Western Setting.
He's timelocked into a 90's state of being, only now that it's not the 90's it doesn't work anymore, and this is compounded when he sets movies in a time that's even futher away from the 90's than real life.
As for his best, I believe it's Jackie Brown. I didn't ''get it'' the first few times around, but over the years it becomes clear to you why it's his best. Eventually your interest in all his other works will dim, but Jackie Brown seems to get better with age.
>>81988159
I think it was because it was an Elmore Leonard story (so basically Tarantino's only feature film that he didn't write himself).
>>81988335
Didn't a lot of his heroes shit on him? And he was hard on coke in the late 90s. I remember reading some brutal criticism of his films from foreign heavyweights. I honestly think his films look quite ugly these days, too sterile almost. It's a shame because honestly, PF, RD and Jackie Brown are incredible achievements
he has no friends im sure, I cannot imagine him having a conversation with another human being off camera
he's the biggest autist in hollywood history
>>81982412
True Romance is his best film, because he didn't get to direct it.
>>81982412
Will Quentin Tarantino ever attempt to make a great movie? Something that transcends it's own confined movie universe and inspires us, comes home with us? Something that is more than an exercise of his own style? Will he only make "cool" movies until the end of time? Where is your ambition, Tarantino? Make something meaningful for once. I bet you have it in you.
My vote goes for Jackie Brown.

OK /tv/, i want to marathon QT's entire line of work. In what order i should watch them?
>>81989174
his ego is too massive and he's too old to recognize or change it
>>81989225
Just do it chronologically you fucking faggot, what kind of insanely retarded question is this?
>>81982530
>contrarians
>Django is weakest
