Maybe Luke realized this and went into a new isolated planet alone to rule over the mortals that lived there. At the end of TFA he looks like that, because he realizes Rey is another force user, so he has to kill her. He will do this by training her, but then makes a trap for her. Emperor Luke must reign once again!!!
