Get rid of the live audience, meme correspondents and the pompous attitude.

I know about global warming and climate change I don't need you to act like a smug fuck for half an hour. Instead, teach some cool shit like you did on your old show.

Episode 9: The sexual spectrum

i heard that the show is more political, but is it seriously going to lecture me on gender politics?
>>

It's progressive propaganda. That's what Bill Nye does now. You have access to the internet, you don't need this fucking clown to spoonfeed you information.

Yeah they need to lose the audience, but keep them waifus especially the tall one and the engineering one who keeps looking at Nye like she wants to fuck him.

I agree. Overall, the show is really disappointing. Presenting information in a format like this isn't effective at actually educating people. They should have put more work into researching science communication if they actually wanted to achieve to goal of informing people about some of these topics.

Because that's seen as a contradiction in actual scientific circles. If you're a person that been on TV, for the most part, other academics aren't going to take you seriously because of the bullshit you have to say to make things seem interesting.

I had a professor that was offered a TV show on Animal Planet right out of grad school. He turned it down without even thinking because he didn't want to fuck his career over.

>Presenting information in a format like this isn't effective at actually educating people.
It feels like they tried to do a science program with the daily show format and it doesnt work.
Plus it feels like an hour long show edited down to 30 minutes. Lame comedy bits ate up too much time and the pannel section is so cut down that it turns into strawman bashing time.
And the correspondent sections are so shallow i dont get what the point was beyond the two waifus.

Discussing politics are about arguing over anything government can have any impact on. Gender discrimination, like almost all discrimination, is something the government can have an impact on. People that believe it's a serious issue will be more likely to talk about it when discussing politics, and people that think it's a minor issue or a nonexistent issue will want oppose any government action around it.

>>
>>81929600
I can agree with pretty much all of that. It's like they tried to gear it more towards sarcastic humor than education, which is a pretty terrible choice for a education show. I mean, I'm watching the episode about diets right now, and the talk about the Paelo diet is laughable bad. Instead of talking about how prehistoric people actually ate to debunk the diet, they're relying on bad humor and old, inaccurate tropes about everyone being miserable and dying at 15.

If he would have kept the same format as his old show and made the content better for a more mature audience, this would have been much better.

Wanna know how to solve "man made climate change"? Nuke India and China and convert every other country to nuclear energy.

Until leftists start advocating those things, I do not believe they actually care about solving it, and instead are simply using it as a vehicle to give more power to the state.

In addition, I think saving Western civilization is more important right now than addressing climate change. The Islamic hellhole the world is trending towards developing right now won't give a fuck about the environment. I'd rather my children live in a free society where they have the ability to solve climate change rather than living in a nightmare Islamic theocracy.
