Seems pretty obvious to me. Mace Windu was supposed to be the second most badass jedi in the order and Han Solo was nearly blind, only had a pole, wasn't known to be proficient in melee combat, and clipped Boba's jetpack on accident. Funny enough, both of them met their end due to a jetpack malfunction.
