Is there a movie that changed your life? I'm sad because I can never ever ever fucking experience the first time I saw drive again. I've seen it about 14 times in my life already and the only times it's come close to the first time we're the second and third viewing, nothing compares. I've bought the jacket, toothpicks, glasses, I loved the movie so much, the soundtrack, I wanted to be just like the driver.
Does anyone else feel like this about a movie
>inb4 JOKAH BAYBE
>tfw no movie matches up to drive because you've never scene a movie before with such little dialogue yet such powerful and captivating scenes characters and moments so you just sit there hoping that the next movie you see won't top drive and try to replace its place in your weak little /tv/ heart
>tfw this poster hangs above your bed
>tfw it makes you wanna tear your top gun poster down
>tfw nothing beats drive ;(
>tfw real hero comes on and your heart doesn't flutter as much as it used to ;(

Drive, where's the deluxe version?
>>81815917
It's
"Hello misssss, my nahmee is Standard Gahbriel"
>"where's the deluxe version"
Don't you ever fucking disrespect drive asking if there's a better version of it.
>>81816433 (You)
where's the deluxe version of your post?
>>81816517
This is the deluxe version.
As Shannon would say, you're looking' at her.
>>81816433
>>81816767
So you're a guy that identifies with both Standard and Shannon.
Let me blow your mind here for a second. What is the deluxe version of standard? Automatic! What did the driver drive? Automatic!
Bam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So then...woah...is that why he was like subtlety better than him in almost every way...also wasn't there a huge plot hole in the movie when he switched gears to outrun the hitmen after the pawn shop robbery, he switched gears in an automatic car? I mean that's besides the point because Refn never had his drivers license so for him to make a movie called drive is pretty talented. Thank god no one else directed it.
I know it was based off a book but still he did a great fucking job.

Thanks
i agree, something about the first time you watch drive is unlike any other time. maybe it's just not a rewatchable film, but watching the film the first time is magic
>>81817974
did you take a hiatus from posting? haven't seen your trip in a while
>>81818027
Eh yeah I'm in college now, just stopped for awhile when I was in high school
I did a gaming YT channel for awhile, plus having a girlfriend and what not...but yeah how's it been

I liked the romance in the film, the rest was unremarkable imo. Them just staring at eachother grinning for 20 seconds was probably the most realistic relationship I've ever seen on film. It felt like 2 shy kids in love. No forced dialogue, no memey flirting, just them looking at eachother with permagrin.

THats what I'm trying to say, it's like no other movie, nothing matches drive and nothing carries that same feeling
The Legend of 1900
2001: A Space Odyssey
Fitzcarraldo
In that order. Now I know, The Legend of 1900 is generally considered meh, and I don't want to watch it again because I'm afraid it won't hold up, but it really had an effect on me when I was a teenager.
2001 and Fitzcarraldo are still great though.
>>81819329
I've only heard of 2001 :( I guess I'm a pleb now
