I have a theory here.
In all of the trailers for the force awakens they always had Finn front and center and advertised Finn all over the place while Rey barely got any trailer time. In the actual movie, Rey ended up being the main star.

I have a feeling that's what's happening with The Last Jedi. Rey will be the focus character of all the ads but in the real movie Finn will be the bug hero that saves the day.
