There's something about the way voices sound in Seinfeld(most notable with Newman), it's good yes but I can't really nail what it is about it that doesn't seem to happen in modern sitcoms.

Michael Richards was misled by believing Chris Rock when he said some black people are black, some black people are niggers.

Richards properly identified a late loud nigger coming into his set, but the audience turned on him because they were racist and thought the word nigger refers to all black people, and not just black people who act like god damn niggers.
