The investors don't want feathered dinosaurs.

The visitors don't want feathered dinosaurs.

They want the image of dinosaurs (scaly reptiles) that has been prevalent since the 1900s.

BBC it wasn't "accidental" you retards. They were purposefully suppressing the beak genes to see what would happen. To see if a regular snout would begin forming

In my childhood the dinosaur movies are often referred as "giant lizard movies" by adults. Even back then dinosaur fans were arguing they are not lizards.

I for one would love feathered dinos.

I mean one of the awesome things growing up in the 1970s-1990s was the fact there was always some new cool dino being discovered that looked neat and new.

Turns out there's even more "new" shit since the addition of protofeathers and such. The ride just keeps getting better.

People who refuse this sort of thing are clinging to their own past ("everything was better when I was 14yo, please world don't change!") New information is new science. Living in the past, like an old dinosaur, is merely religion (irony.)

It's a flaw in evolution that humans think dinosaurs having protofeathers somehow makes them less scary

>>
>>81511026
Do you think humans could have survived among dinosaurs? we are the biggest assholes around
>>
>>81511116
Probably not. Our ancient ancestors at that time were we tiny prey animals. I'm not sure a hominid could have developed technology fast enough to compensate. You'd have to luck out and evolve on some island chain that didn't have such massive predators where a single predator couldn't wipe out your entire family group/tribe/clan. We developed the way we did because all the big predators couldn't climb trees as well and we were no longer at biting height. That allowed much larger social groups and everything took off from there.

>>
>>81511435
No, he is right. He got me with the social part.

The development of technology has to go through the development of language. And we couldn't develop language until a large enough group of humans gathered together. And you can't sustain a large group of humans without settling and developing agriculture with dinos running around

444KB, 1500x1010px
>>81512414
Yeah, the die offs that happened to the dinos is what paved the way for larger social groups.

>>81511435
If you went back in time to the dinosaur age, you'd die pretty quickly since there'd be too much oxygen in the air for you. You'd get high as fuck then die. If you somehow prevented that then you'd need to pick and choose your "spawn" location, on an island, that has few or no large predators. You'd then be able to setup a foothold where you may later venture out from.

Real life dinos would be nothing at all like the ones in movies, tv, and video games. Your level of "shits fucked" would be astronomically high. Far beyond anything in entertainment media. You need to remember these are hunters that evolved over millions and millions of years without much need for change. They'd all have high stealth and very good hunter-pack strategies for those in packs.

Then there's shit like big insects that can suck 1/10th of your blood in a few seconds and give you flesh eating bacterial infections.
