I went down from 330 to 280 just by eliminating Soda and Fried Foods.

I got to where I am now by maintaining a 500 KCAL daily deficit.

You mean empty stomach feeling? It literally lasts like a minute in reality. You're not going to hit starvation mode unless you haven't eaten in like 3 days. Just eat less and get over your brain/stomach telling you you're hungry. Using water or tea is fine of course.

I had to go to the ER for abdominal pain (what later turned out to be kidney stones).

I told the nurses that on a scale from 1 to 10 my pain was an 8.

Apparently they thought I was faking. So I had to lay on the ER bed and writhe around in pain for a couple hours while waiting to see the doc.
